Charlie and the chocolate factory: adaptación y traducción

Abstract

RESUMEN: En este estudio se presenta la relación existente entre el discurso literario, el cinematográfico y el traductivo, por medio de un análisis descriptivo de algunos apartes de la obra literaria titulada “Charlie y la fábrica de chocolates”, sus dos adaptaciones al cine y la subtitulación al español de la segunda adaptación. De esta manera, se evidencian algunas variaciones de las características propias de los personajes que pueden influir en el mensaje transmitido en la obra literaria original.

ABSTRATC: This study presents the connection between literary discourse, the cinematographic one and that of translation; by means of descriptive analysis of some excerpts of the literary piece “Charlie and the chocolate factory”, its two cinematographic adaptations, and the Spanish subtitles of the second adaptation. Hence, it is possible to state some changes in the most relevant qualities of the characters, which may influence the message shown in the original literary work.
