Elucubraciones de un ser moderno. Las representaciones del hombre nuevo en la crónica literaria de Luis Tejada,1917-1924

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este articulo analiza las circunstancias que dieron lugar a las representaciones del mito histórico- político del hombre nuevo en la obra del cronista colombiano Luis Tejada Cano, quien dejo expresas sus reflexiones y propuestas sobre las transformaciones físicas, sociales e intelectuales que tuvieron lugar en las crecientes ciudades colombianas de principio del siglo XX. El análisis historiográfico de una fuente poco trabajada como lo es la dicha producción permitirá observar el profundo sentido que adquieren la cotidianidad, los conceptos y los objetos en la construcción del sentido de modernidad y de hombre nuevo en el marco del proyecto político de nación.

ABSTRACT: This article analyzes the circumstances that gave rise to the representations of the historical-political myth of the new man in the work of the Colombian chronicler Luis Tejada Cano, who expressed his reflections and proposals on the physical, social and intellectual transformations that took place in the growing Colombian cities at the beginning of the twentieth century. The historiographic analysis of a little worked source such as this production, will allow us to observe the deep sense that everyday life, concepts and objects acquire in the construction of the sense of modernity and of the new man in the framework of the political project of the nation.
