Caracterización de las actitudes frente a las prácticas sexuales de riesgo en adolescentes entre 14 y 19 años de edad

Abstract

RESUMEN: La presente investigación tiene como objetivo describir las actitudes, ya sean estas negativas o positivas, que tienen los adolescentes de 14 a 19 años de edad de los municipios de Betulia y Medellín frente a las conductas sexuales de riesgo. Los participantes fueron seis adolescentes escolarizados en la Institución Educativa San José del municipio de Betulia entre los grados noveno y undécimo, y 15 adolescentes escolarizados en la Institución Educativa Jesús Amigo del municipio de Medellín. Los resultados muestran las diferentes prácticas sexuales de riesgo que los adolescentes han llevado a cabo o podrían llevar a cabo, además de mostrar actitudes negativas frente a éstas. Adicionalmente, los adolescentes hicieron referencia, de manera general, a la forma como adquieren los conocimientos respecto a la sexualidad y a las prácticas sexuales de riesgo particularmente. El enfoque de la investigación fue cualitativo, se usaron como técnicas de recolección de información la entrevista focalizada, así como la aplicación de un cuestionario no estandarizado.

ABSTRACT: The present research aims at describing the attitudes, whether negative or positive, that adolescents between 14 and 19 years of age in the municipalities of Betulia and Medellín have to confront risky sexual behaviors. Participants were six adolescents enrolled in the San Jose Educational Institution of the municipality of Betulia between the ninth and eleventh grades and 15 adolescents enrolled in the Jesús Amigo Educational Institution of the municipality of Medellín. The results show the different sexual practices of risk that the adolescents have carried out or could carry out, besides showing negative attitudes towards them. In addition, adolescents referred in general terms to the way they acquire knowledge about sexuality and particularly risky sexual practices. The focus of the research was qualitative, focused interviewing techniques were used as well as the application of a non- standardized questionnaire.
