Representaciones sociales alrededor del cuerpo de la mujer de estudiantes universitarias de la ciudad de Medellín

Abstract

RESUMEN: La presente investigación pretende describir las representaciones sociales que tienen alrededor del cuerpo de la mujer las universitarias de la ciudad de Medellín; para ello se aplicó el instrumento llamado carta asociativa a 140 mujeres pertenecientes a la Universidad de Antioquia y a la Universidad de Medellín. En cada una de las cartas asociativas las mujeres plasmaron la lista de conceptos que asociaban con la frase Cuerpo de Mujer. Los resultados de la presente muestran que el sistema central de la representación social del cuerpo de la mujer está constituido por las nociones de belleza y delicadeza; en el sistema periférico estarían amor, feminidad, respeto y senos.

ABSTRACT: The present research tries to describe the social representations that have around the body of the women the university women of the city of Medellín; For this purpose, the instrument called an association letter was applied to 140 women belonging to the University of Antioquia and the University of Medellín. In each of the associative letters the women formulated the list of concepts that associated with the phrase Body of Woman. The results of the present show that the central system of the social representation of the woman's body is constituted by the notions of beauty and delicacy; In the peripheral system would be love, femininity, respect and breasts.
