La producción científica sobre la región del Urabá desarrollada por investigadores de la Universidad de Antioquia entre 2006 - 2016

Abstract

RESUMEN: El trabajo da cuenta de la producción científica que los investigadores de la Universidad de Antioquia han realizado sobre la región del Urabá antioqueño, para el periodo de 2006 -2016. El tipo de producto que se retomo fue los artículos científicos que circulan en bases de datos de prestigio internacional como lo son Web of Science, Scopus, y Scielo. El estudio surge por la necesidad de una línea base que enfatizara en las características sociométricas de la ciencia universitaria en dicha región, las redes de colaboración institucional que se han establecido y las tendencias temáticas de los artículos publicados. Estas mediciones deberán propiciar reflexiones y problematizar la comunicación científica universitaria, en las regiones y sobre las regiones. El tratamiento de la información se dio mediante la metodología bibliométrica y el análisis de redes de colaboración, lo que está en coherencia con el enfoque funcionalista-estructuralista en el que se enmarca el estudio, además, se profundizo especialmente en el caso de la producción realizada por los grupos de investigación de la seccional Urabá. En la parte final del documento se aprecian una serie de conclusiones y recomendaciones respecto a lo hallado.

ABSTRACT: This work shows the scientific production that researchers from Universidad de Antioquia have made about the Urabá antioqueño region, for the period 2006 – 2016. The type of product in which this investigation is based upon, are scientific articles from worldwide prestige databases like Web of Science, Scopus and Scielo. This study arises from the need of a baseline that emphasizes the sociometric characteristics of university science in that region, the institutional collaboration networks that have been stablished and the thematic tendencies of the published articles. These measures should provide reflections and problematize the university scientific communication in the regions and about the regions. The information treatment of this investigation is made through bibliometric methodology and the analysis of collaboration networks, which is consistent with the functionalist-structuralist approach in which this study is framed. In addition, the study focused specially in the production case made by the research groups of the Urabá sectional. The final section of this document consist of conclusions and recommendations about the findings.
