Cambio social y cultural en San Sebastián de Palmitas

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo es la continuación del estudio etnográfico realizado en San Sebastián de Palmitas durante el primer semestre de 1993, el cual tuvo como título “San Sebastián de Palmitas. Monografía”. Esta etapa de la monografía de grado consiste en un análisis de la información recolectada, siendo el eje conductor el cambio social a partir de la realización de obras de infraestructura. Para adentrarnos en los conceptos del cambio social y cultural hemos recurrido primero, a la información teórica pertinente que existe sobre el concepto de cambio; segundo, a los informes y trabajos que se han realizado sobre este asunto en otras regiones del país y en la zona – las monografías de la vereda la Aldea y Urquitá, para participar en historias de mi barrio organizado por Desarrollo Comunitario – las cuales aportan un poco al conocimiento de dichas veredas. Consideramos válido el análisis de esta información como punto de partida para posteriores investigaciones que se adelantan en el corregimiento, así mismo pensamos que sirve de apoyo a las instituciones tanto comunitarias como gubernamentales para la realización de proyectos como la implementación de sistemas de riego, de restaurantes escolares y de programas de educación o para la implementación de obras de infraestructura como carreteras interveredales, acueducto, alcantarillado, electrificación, teléfonos.

ABSTRACT: This work is the continuation of the ethnographic study carried out in San Sebastián de Palmitas during the first semester of 1993, which had the title “San Sebastián de Palmitas. Monograph". This stage of the undergraduate monograph consists of an analysis of the information collected, with social change starting from the performance of infrastructure works as the driving axis. To delve into the concepts of social and cultural change, we have first resorted to the pertinent theoretical information that exists on the concept of change; second, to the reports and works that have been carried out on this matter in other regions of the country and in the area - the monographs of the village of La Aldea and Urquitá, to participate in stories of my neighborhood organized by Desarrollo Comunitario - which provide a little to the knowledge of these sidewalks. We consider the analysis of this information to be valid as a starting point for further research to be carried out in the township, and we also believe that it serves as a support to both community and government institutions for carrying out projects such as the implementation of irrigation systems, restaurants school and education programs or for the implementation of infrastructure works such as inter-municipal roads, aqueduct, sewerage, electrification, telephones.
