Las lesbianas para la psicología : un estado del arte de las perspectivas psicológicas sobre la homosexualidad femenina

Abstract

RESUMEN: Con la intención de contribuir al aumento de conocimiento que se tiene sobre la homosexualidad femenina, realicé una investigación que tuvo por objetivo identificar las diversas perspectivas psicológicas sobre el tema. Para lograrlo, hice uso de la metodología cualitativa con enfoque interpretativo y de tipo documental: la muestra fue conformada por libros, tesis y artículos de habla hispana e inglesa desde mediados del siglo XX y hasta la actualidad. El registro y análisis de la información lo hice en torno a las categorías de: definición, temáticas y tratamiento; además, usé algunos conceptos de la teoría de género para dar sentido a la información resultante. Entre los hallazgos encontré la existencia de dos perspectivas antagónicas: la primera, patologizante y promovida por la psicología dinámica; la segunda, no patologizante y adelantada por la psicología social.

ABSTRACT: With the intention of contributing to the increase of knowledge about female homosexuality, I carried out an investigation that aimed to identify the different psychological perspectives on the subject. To achieve this, I made use of the qualitative methodology with an interpretive and documentary approach: the sample was made up of books, theses and Spanish and English-speaking articles from the mid-20th century and up to the present. The registration and analysis of the information I did around the categories of: definition, topics and treatment; in addition, I used some concepts of gender theory to make sense of the resulting information. Among the findings I found the existence of two antagonistic perspectives: the first, pathologizing and promoted by dynamic psychology; the second, non-pathologizing and advanced by social psychology.
