ABSTRACT: In the midst of a post-peace agreement that Colombia currently lives, the question arises for its rural context. From the educational field, we inquire as teachers about the relevance of our training processes with young people in this context, without having very clear answers about how they see themselves there. Therefore, this research work seeks to unveil conflicts in the process of construction and reconstruction of rural youth identity present among legal practices. Within this sociocultural approach, two theoretical references are taken: cultural studies and new literacy studies. The first refers to the approaches of Stuart Hall (2011), which allow us to understand the way in which the individual configures his identity mediated by the relations he establishes with the territory and language, his way of approaching social and cultural realities. The second reference contributes with the concepts of legal practices and events (Heath, 1982; Street, 1984, 1993; Barton, 1994; Kleiman, 1995, 2010; Zavala, Niño-Murcia y Ames, 2004), which enrich the analytical framework by allowing to describe how subjects construct senses from and with language. All of them allow, therefore, to conceive the active participation of individuals in the culture of writing, in addition to their relationship with the environment. In this sense, rather than reading and writing, literate events allow people to wonder about what people do when they read and write, their wishes, personal motives, and what leads them to act and express themselves in each particular context, giving an account of the manifestation of your identity Likewise, this work proposes the qualitative paradigm as a methodological proposal, from an ethnographic approach, whose research techniques are semi-structured interviews, social cartography, autobiography from photography and field diary. Finally, one of the results of this research was to find that these young rural people, despite always highlighting in their legal events the pleasure of living in rural areas, are motivated to migrate from their territories due to economic factors and the search for others. opportunities to have a better paid job than agriculture is currently. Rurality therefore represents a calm and pleasant lifestyle, but working in it does not contribute in some cases, with a considerable economic income compared to your expectations.
