La pobreza como eje transversal en el análisis de la calidad de vida de los habitantes del sur del Valle de Aburrá, Aburrá Sur Cómo Vamos

Abstract

RESUMEN: El programa Aburrá Sur Cómo Vamos, ingresa a la Red de ciudades Cómo Vamos en el año 2017 y con esto deja de ser un observatorio. La labor principal del programa es contribuir con el desarrollo de gobiernos efectivos, además de medir y dar a conocer cómo se encuentra la calidad de vida los habitantes de los cinco municipios del sur del Valle de Aburrá; esto a través del análisis de cinco anillos donde se presentan indicadores objetivos como subjetivos y teniendo la pobreza y la demografía como ejes transversales. Este documento se muestra como resultado de las asignaturas Trabajo de grado I y II que se desarrolló bajo la modalidad de práctica académica y es el requisito para optar por el título de socióloga de la Universidad de Antioquia. Entender que la pobreza, como categoría sociológica, es una interacción en la que se cruzan todos los hilos que forman el tejido social de una sociedad, permite darle una mirada crítica al fenómeno de la pobreza y de esta forma poder describirla y a partir de los indicadores que se analizan en el Programa Aburrá Sur Cómo Vamos, hacer un informe general de la situación en cuanto a la influencia que tienen varios de estos indicadores en el sur del Valle de Aburrá.

ABSTRACT: The program “Aburrá Sur Cómo Vamos” entered the network “Red de Ciudades Cómo Vamos” in 2017, thus leaving its former observatory status. The main program’s objective is to contribute to the development of effective governments, along with measuring and making the state of the life quality of the five municipalities of the south of the Aburrá Valley known. This is made through the analysis of five rings where objective and subjective indicators are shown, using poverty and demography as cross-cutting issues. This paper is presented as the result of the subjects “Trabajo de grado I y II” developed under the category of academic practice, and it’s also presented as the requirement for obtaining the degree as a sociologist at the University of Antioquia. Understanding that poverty, as a sociological category, is an interaction in which the threads that form society’s social fabric cross, allows us to take a critical look at the phenomenon of poverty and thus, to be able to describe it. Also, a general report of the situation can be carried out about the influence that several of these indicators have in the south of the Aburrá Valley, taking into account the indicators analyzed in the program “Aburrá Sur Cómo Vamos”.
