ABSTRACT: During the insurgency of the Colombian plain during the years 1949-1953 a cultural element called Guadalupano guerrilla corridos is present. These corridos, created during the confrontation and later, narrate the experiences of the insurgents and their opinions regarding the political problems that occurred in the country. In this work we sought to identify this content within the corrido in order to expose the representation of the enemy in code with James Scott's theory on hidden discourses. In order to carry out this work, the idea was developed in different sections in order to create a broad idea of the problem. We started from the friend-enemy theory of Carl Schmitt, the representations of Emile Durkheim and Scott's theory, this to understand the content and the relationship of the corridos; It was historically contextualized to understand the breaking points in Colombian society in the period of La Violencia, but information was also presented on other problems such as land tenure and the regional division that the country presented, these elements were also aggravating in the event history of the Llano; in the same way, the corresponding to the corridos at the cultural level was approached and the definitions that would explain the popular from Pierre Bourdieu in relation to James Scott's theory of hidden discourses were taken into account; Finally, the corridos were analyzed, dividing them into three parts, the conceptualization of allies defined as an “us”, the offenses that construct the hidden discourse and the construction from pejorative qualifiers that construct the “them”. What was sought with this was to highlight three key points to better understand the insurgency of the Llano. First, the La Violencia process is not the only factor that constitutes the insurgents' plot, the regional division and inequality that caused land ownership is also present; second, the use of corridos as a source for the study of historical processes, these elements produced by popular communities have rich information for the treatment of historical problems and can be studied; Third, the corrido is an element that functioned as a transmitter of a message, allowing anonymity in times of friction, in addition, it served as a cohesive element of the group, a voice that represented the thought of the collective and related population, together with the representation of the enemy.
