Resumen : RESUMEN: Objetivo principal: Comprender la influencia de Florence Nightingale en las prácticas de cuidado en Antioquia (Colombia) durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. Metodología: Es una indagación cualitativa hermenéutica comprensiva (Wilhem Dilthey), con el apoyo teórico histórico asincrónico intencionado de Reinhart Kosseleck, apoyada en la crítica de fuentes primarias y secundarias. Resultados principales: Florence Nightingale tuvo importantes aportes para el liderazgo de la mujer y las prácticas de cuidado de la mujer en Antioquia (Colombia) en las diferentes denominaciones que fueron dadas a la mujer cuidadora de la época como partera certificada, Damas Grises de la Cruz Roja y enfermeras. La consideración del Ambiente y la sanidad para el cuidado de las personas y las mejores condiciones de las instituciones se vieron reflejadas en la construcción de un hospital del siglo XX. Para el tercer decenio de este siglo, luego de la llegada de la Cruz Roja como organismo internacional, fueron varias las instituciones creadas en Antioquia con el apoyo de comunidades religiosas para el beneficio de niños y mujeres en condiciones vulnerables. Conclusión principal: La influencia de Nightingale a nivel mundial fue notable desde principios del siglo XX, en Colombia la llegada de la Cruz Roja con su formación en enfermería favoreció un nivel de formación técnico para las mujeres, en el Departamento de Antioquia como parte de Colombia. La influencia de la mujer bicentenaria fue notoria en la educación de la mujer, creación de instituciones para el beneficio de niños pobres y mujeres con dificultades en su moral y económicas.
ABSTRACT: Objective: Understand the influence of Florence Nightingale on care practices in Antioquia (Colombia) during the first half of the 20th century. Methodology: It is a comprehensive hermeneutical qualitative inquiry (Wilhem Dilthey), with the historical theoretical support of intentional asynchronous of Reinhart Kosseleck, supported by the criticism of primary and secondary sources. Results: Florence Nightingale had important contributions to the leadership of women and the practices of caring for women in Antioquia (Colombia) in the different denominations that were given to the woman caregiver of the time as certified midwife, Gray Ladies of the Red Cross and nurses. The consideration of the Environment and health for the care of people and the best conditions of the institutions was reflected in the construction of a twentieth century hospital. For the third decade of the 20th century, after the arrival of the Red Cross as an international organization, there were several institutions created in Antioquia with the support of religious communities for the benefit of children and women in vulnerable conditions. Conclusions: The influence of Nightingale worldwide was notable since the early twentieth century, in Colombia the arrival of the Red Cross with its nursing training favored a level of technical training for women, in the Department of Antioquia as part of Colombia the influence of the bicentennial woman was notorious in the education of women, creating institutions for the benefit of poor children and women with moral and economic difficulties.
