Diseño de dos centros de distribución para la operación de domicilios de almacenes Corona

Abstract

RESUMEN : Corona es una multinacional colombiana con 140 años de historia empresarial, dedicada a la manufactura y comercialización de productos para el hogar, la construcción, la industria, la agricultura y el sector de energía. El proyecto se llevó a cabo en el área de logística de Corona Industrial y consistió en el diseño de dos centros de distribución, Ideo Cali y Cra. 8va en las ciudades de Cali y Barranquilla respectivamente para la operación de domicilios de almacenes Corona. En el marco del proyecto, los inventarios se van a tener en el sistema ERP de SAP y la administración de los inventarios que están bajo este ERP, se hace bajo el sistema WMS. De acuerdo con las necesidades operativas de estas bodegas fue adecuado mantener dicho esquema operativo, es decir, que WMS sea el que maneje el software de los inventarios que están en el ERP de SAP. Anteriormente, se tenía la administración de los inventarios en people soft, este software es el equivalente al ERP de SAP ; así, dentro del marco del proyecto, se definió que los inventarios estuvieran en SAP ya que el inventario iba a estar en las instalaciones de almacenes Corona, pero a nivel de dueño de inventario todavía pertenecía a la división correspondiente, es decir, a Colcerámica, Somicol o a Corlanc. WMS es un software especializado para manejo de inventarios, entonces para el resto de las operaciones que están con SAP, el WMS ha sido el software que le ha hecho esa administración especializada de inventarios. Inicialmente se realizó un estudio para conocer el diseño actual de los centros de distribución Ideo Cali y Cra. 8va, en cuanto a la estructura física y a cómo se tenía la parametrización en dichos CEDI’s. Posteriormente se diseñó el layout esperado para cada uno de ellos, teniendo en cuenta el orden de alistamiento del material y la asignación de ubicaciones a cada familia de productos. Además, se llevó a cabo la configuración de los centros de distribución en el sistema WMS, para finalmente completar las plantillas para el cargue de ubicaciones y cargue de materiales, en las cuales está toda la información de la parametrización del diseño de los dos centros de distribución.

WMS is a specialized software for inventory management, so for the rest of the operations that are with SAP, the WMS has been the software that specialized inventory management has done to it. Initially, a study was carried out to know the current design of the Ideo Cali and Cra. 8va distribution centers, regarding the physical structure and how the parameterization was had in said CEDI's. Subsequently, the expected layout for each of them was designed, taking into account the order of enlistment of the material and the assignment of locations to each product family. In addition, the configuration of the distribution centers in the WMS system was carried out, to finally complete the templates for loading locations and loading materials, in which is all the information on the parameterization of the design of the two distribution centers.
