Gestión del ordenamiento ambiental territorial : estrategia para el desarrollo sostenible

Abstract

RESUMEN: La aparición de los problemas ambientales está ligada a la compleja interacción entre sociedad y naturaleza. En este artículo analizaremos esta complejidad como obstáculo en la búsqueda de estrategias apropiadas para alcanzar el desarrollo sostenible, propósito generalizado de la sociedad contemporánea. Recorreremos los conceptos, las definiciones y las interpretaciones que nos ayuden a entender por qué, a la luz del desarrollo sostenible, el ordenamiento ambiental territorial aparece como una herramienta adecuada para atender la problemática ambiental y, cómo su gestión prospectiva, se convierte en una estrategia ideal para diagnosticarla, planificarla, transformarla y evaluarla, ya que obliga a tomar decisiones sobre materias que afectan no sólo el escenario económico de la sociedad, sino también a sus esferas natural y social.

ABSTRACT: The appearance of the environmental problems is bound to the complex interaction between society and nature. In this article we will analyze this complexity as obstacle for the search of appropriate strategies to reach the sustainable development, widespread purpose of the contemporary society. We will examine the concepts, the definitions and the interpretations that help us to understand I why, by the light of the sustainable development, the territorial environmental classification appears like an appropriate tool to assist the environmental problem and, how its prospective administration, becomes an ideal strategy to diagnose it, to plan it, to transform it and to evaluate it, since it forces to make decisions on matters that not only affect the economic scenario of the society, but also to their natural and social spheres.
