Imaginarios migrantes: Representaciones sociales sobre la migración venezolana en Medellín.

Abstract

RESUMEN: Los procesos de movilidad humana han estado presentes a lo largo de la historia, teniendo diversos orígenes. Dentro de las migraciones contemporáneas, es de particular interés para esta investigación, el proceso migratorio venezolano que se ha venido desarrollando aproximadamente desde 2015, principalmente hacia Colombia, pero también al resto del mundo. Por la cercanía histórica, política y económica que han tenido Colombia y Venezuela, es menester abordar el proceso migratorio venezolano, para lograr mejores comprensiones sobre cómo se ha desarrollado, pero también, de cómo se ha dado la incorporación de los sujetos migrantes venezolanos, no solo en las dinámicas y relaciones sociales, sino también dentro de los imaginarios y la cultura, que, para el caso particular, sería la ciudad de Medellín.

Para abordar estos imaginarios y representaciones sociales, en aras de la incorporación de los sujetos migrantes venezolanos a la ciudad, se retoman postulados teóricos sobre el construccionismo social, los estudios culturales y las teorías de imaginarios y representaciones sociales, las cuales permiten analizar las construcciones discursivas e imágenes que se crean sobre los migrantes, desde medios de comunicación como Minuto 30 y Revista Semana, así como de las opiniones de personas a través de sondeos de opinión, entrevistas y grupos focales. El análisis de estos discursos, permite entonces identificar los tipos de imágenes que se crean sobre el migrante, lo que lleva a indagar sobre el impacto de éstas en la subjetividad, para finalmente comprender cómo inciden en el proceso de incorporación a las dinámicas de la ciudad de Medellín.

ABSTRACT: Human mobility processes have been present throughout history, having diverse origins. Within contemporary migrations, of particular interest for this research is the Venezuelan migration process that has been developing since approximately 2015, mainly to Colombia, but also to the rest of the world. Due to the historical, political and economic proximity that Colombia and Venezuela have had, it is necessary to address the Venezuelan migration process, in order to achieve a better understanding of how it has developed, but also, how the incorporation of Venezuelan migrant subjects has occurred, not only in the dynamics and social relations, but also within the imaginaries and culture, which, for the particular case, would be the city of Medellin.

In order to approach such imaginary and representative understanding, in the interest of the incorporation of Venezuelan migrant subjects to the city, theoretical postulates on social constructionism, cultural studies and theories of imaginaries and social representations are taken up, which allow analyzing the discursive constructions and images that are created about migrants, from media such as Minuto 30 and Revista Semana, as well as the opinions of people through opinion polls, interviews and focus groups. The analysis of these discourses allows identifying the types of images that are created about the migrant, which leads to investigate the impact of these images on subjectivity, to finally understand how they affect the process of incorporation into the dynamics of the city of Medellin.
