El vacío de poder que llevó a la configuración del Departamento de Córdoba: en busca de una identidad regional, 1948 – 1952

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este artículo de investigación se propone examinar los factores sociopolíticos que llevaron a la elite sinuana durante el periodo 1948-1952 a instaurar un proyecto de ley para la creación del departamento de Córdoba, segregando la zona Sur del departamento de Bolívar. Asimismo, se intenta conocer de qué manera se dieron los procesos que condujeron a la aprobación final del mencionado proyecto. A partir del acervo documental consultado se analizó por qué los líderes sinuanos argumentaban que la región del Sinú contaba con lo indispensable para organizarse de forma autosuficiente. En este contexto el departamento de Bolívar pasó por diversos cambios geográficos, la emancipación de algunos de sus territorios y posteriormente la configuración de nuevos departamentos, entre ellos el de Córdoba. Con base a lo anterior, se espera conocer la organización geográfica y aportar a la historiografía acerca de Córdoba sobre el proceso de configuración del ente político-administrativo de su departamento, conociendo así la construcción de la identidad regional del mismo.

ABSTRACT: This research article aims to examine the sociopolitical factors that led to the Sinuana elite during the period 1948-1952; to establish a bill for the creation of the department of Córdoba, with the South zone, of the department of Bolívar. Likewise, know how each of the processes that implied the final approval of the aforementioned project took place. Based on a documentary collection, it seeks to analyze why the leaders argued that the Sinú region had the essentials to organize itself in a self-sufficient way. In this context, the department of Bolívar went through various geographical changes, with the emancipation of some of its territories and later the configuration of new departments, including Córdoba. With this, it is hoped to be able to know the geographical organization and contribute to the historiography about Córdoba on the process of configuration of the political-administrative entity of the department, thus knowing the construction of its regional identity.
