Más ruidosos que las balas: una narración sociopolítica de los 80 y 90 desde el punk local

Abstract

RESUMEN: Finales de los años 80 y principios de los 90, una época en la que Colombia y en especial Medellín se ahogaban en medio de un mar de violencia, narcotráfico, corrupción, abandono estatal, desempleo, represión y muerte… Se contrastaba el ruido de las balas, con el ruido de los instrumentos hechizos y los carros bomba con la explosión de rabia contenida por el silencio. Cuando todo estaba perdido, llega el punk, a resistir, a expresar, a plasmar en sus canciones, sus vivencias, sus sentires, sus denuncias, para afrontar el NO futuro asfixiante, ¿Se podía ser más fuerte? Ante esto no había otra alternativa más que escribir, tocar y gritar a todo pulmón, intentando silenciar la cruda realidad. Cantar o específicamente escupir palabras, surgía como la flor en el asfalto.

ABSTRACT: The late 80's and early 90's, a time when Colombia and especially Medellin were drowning in violence, drug trafficking, corruption, state neglect, unemployment, repression and death… The noise of the bullets were contrasted with the noise of improvised handmade instruments, and sound of the car bombs with the explosion of rage contained by silence. When all was lost, punk arrived, to resist, to express, to capture in its songs, the experiences, the feelings and the complaints, to face the suffocating NO future, could punks be stronger? Faced with this there was no alternative but to write, play and scream at the top of the lungs, trying to silence the harsh reality. Singing or specifically spitting words, who emerged as the flower in the asphalt.
