Relación entre el feminismo y socialismo en los albores del siglo XX en Colombia

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente artículo aborda la relación problémica entre feminismo y socialismo en algunos casos de las primeras décadas del siglo XX, como la Sociedad de Obreras Redención de la Mujer, la huelga de trabajadoras de la Fábrica de Tejidos de Bello de 1920, el Partido Socialista y el Partido Socialista Revolucionario. Se enfatiza en la pregunta por sus formas de relacionamiento, en la existencia o no del feminismo popular para la época y sus características. Para esto se utiliza la metodología de Investigación Documental, con la que se encuentran puntos de relación entre el feminismo y socialismo en cuanto a lo organizativo y lo programático, así como limitaciones. Por otro lado, se verifica la existencia de experiencias feministas liberales y de corriente popular en esta época, con personas, reivindicaciones y repertorios característicos, lo cual supone el cuestionamiento del relato histórico de las olas del feminismo.

ABSTRACT: This article explores the problematic relationship between feminism and socialism in some cases of the twentieth century`s first decades, such as the Women's Redemption Workers' Society, the workers' strike of the Bello Factory in 1920, the Socialist Party and the Revolutionary Socialist Party. Emphasizing on the question about the forms of relationship and the existence or not of popular feminism and its characteristics. For this, the Documentary Research methodology is used. The main findings are points of relationship between feminism and socialism in terms of organizational and programmatic aspects, as well as limitations. On the other hand, it verifies the existence of liberal and popular feminists in this period, with particular repertoires and claims, what involves the questioning of the historical account of the waves of feminism.
