Patrimonio arquitectónico y cultural de Prado Centro y sus cambios de vocaciones: de la ciudad industrial a la ciudad inteligente

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el presente documento se describen los hechos históricos que dan cuenta de la transformación del barrio Prado Centro de la Comuna 10 de la Candelaria y se parte de los aspectos sociales, económicos y políticos para entender a cabalidad la forma en que se dan procesos de industrialización e innovación a lo largo de la historia, en cómo se visualizan desde la actualidad y cómo puede proyectarse a futuro. En el texto se mencionan las dinámicas de las industrialización que llegan al territorio y que van modificando las formas de habitar el espacio y las formas de relación entre las clases sociales; teniendo presente que en dicho lugar se describen asuntos de estatus y estratificación, deben leerse con detalle para poder entender las razones por las cuales Prado Centro fue habitado por familias adineradas y que tenía algo especial, pero primero debían comprenderse las relaciones con el resto de la población (clase media y baja), cuáles eran sus principios para construir casas tan enormes y con qué fin, además de cuáles eran los motivos para acoplar un arte que era europeo y americano a una región como la nuestra y más interesante aún, cuando allí se describen esos hechos que nos cuentan las razones por las que estas personas deben irse de la zona dejando una huella histórica en el territorio. Seguidamente se realiza una caracterización del barrio en la actualidad y aquí es sumamente importante poner el radar y entender lo que hoy es Prado Centro; se tocan todos los aspectos como lo social, lo político, lo económico y lo cultural. La visual es sobre lo que queda de Prado Centro y cómo esa historia tan rica en arte y vivencias, convergen con quienes habitan el lugar, con las personas que lo transitan a diario y cuál es la relación del sector con los barrios aledaños y qué consecuencias positivas y negativas se originan para un territorio que es una representación cultural de los paisas. Finalmente, se proponen diferentes escenarios de recuperación del espacio, con el fin de darle la importancia social, económica, política y así lograr que el sector sea, por fin, reconocido como Distrito de cultura y patrimonio arquitectónico.

ABSTRACT: This document describes the historical facts that account for the transformation of the Prado Centro neighborhood of Commune 10 of La Candelaria and starts with the social, economic and political aspects to fully understand the way in which industrialization and innovation processes occur throughout history, how they are viewed from the present and how they can be projected into the future. The text mentions the dynamics of industrialization that reach the territory and that are modifying the ways of inhabiting the space and the forms of relationship between social classes; Bearing in mind that in this place issues of status and stratification are described, they must be read in detail in order to understand the reasons why Prado Centro was inhabited by wealthy families and that it had something special, but first the relationships with the rest of the population (middle and lower class) had to be understood, what were their principles for building such enormous houses and for what purpose, as well as what were the reasons for adapting an art that was European and American to a region like ours and even more interesting, when those facts are described there that tell us the reasons why these people must leave the area leaving a historical mark on the territory. Next, a characterization of the neighborhood today is made and here it is extremely important to put the radar and understand what Prado Centro is today; all aspects are touched upon such as the social, political, economic and cultural. The visual is about what remains of Prado Centro and how that history, so rich in art and experiences, converges with those who live there, with the people who pass through it daily, and what is the relationship of the sector with the surrounding neighborhoods and what positive and negative consequences arise for a territory that is a cultural representation of paisas. Finally, different scenarios for the recovery of space are proposed, to give it social, economic, and political importance and thus achieve that the sector is, finally, recognized as a District of culture and architectural heritage.
