Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo surge a partir del deseo de comprender la injerencia de las pulsiones en la construcción del cuerpo humano, en el contexto cultural contemporáneo. Para fundamentar el problema de investigación se hizo referencia a la inquietud que los seres humanos han mostrado en su devenir histórico por el tema del cuerpo, inquietud tal que ha desencadenado en las modificaciones físicas, arrojando una desnaturalización del organismo, en su esfuerzo por humanizarlo y culturizarlo. Para ello se revisaron algunos textos freudianos y lacanianos como fuentes primarias de información. También se recorrieron algunas fuentes secundarias tanto del freudismo como del lacanismo, con textos de diferentes autores que escriben respecto a temas relevantes para la comprensión del cuerpo, tales como la pulsión escópica, el fetichismo, la falta y la imagen corporal. Con las indagaciones hechas a partir de los autores, se pudo establecer la diferencia entre organismo y cuerpo, se analizó el cuerpo como imagen y las motivaciones de los sujetos para modificar el aspecto físico a través de las prácticas con fines estéticos. Se concluye que el sujeto contemporáneo asume la necesidad de reconocimiento y de ser mirado por el Otro, afrontando la falta originada desde el desprendimiento de sus objetos primarios, característica intrínseca a su humanidad misma. Queda para su historia la añoranza de la unidad y la completud, aun cuando las condiciones culturales actuales le deparen al sujeto confundirse con el objeto.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this research emerges from a desire to understand the influence of drives in the construction of the human body, in the contemporary cultural context. In order to support the research problem, reference was made to the concern that human beings have shown throughout history about the human body the body, a concern that has unleashed physical modifications, throwing a denaturalization of the organism, in its effort to humanize it and acculturate it. With this in mind, some Freudian and Lacanian texts were reviewed as primary sources of information. Some secondary sources of Freudism and Lacanism were also covered, analysing the points of view of different authors who write about relevant topics for the understanding of the body, such as scopic drive, fetishism, lack and body image. Based on the research, a difference between organism and body could be established, the body was analyzed as an image and the people´s motivations to modify their physical appearance through practices with aesthetic purposes. It is concluded that the contemporary human being assumes the need of recognition and the need for being watched by the other, facing the lack originated from the detachment of his primary objects, which is an intrinsic characteristic of his self. The longing for unity and completeness remains, even when the current cultural conditions confront the subject with the object.
