Diseño, construcción e impacto positivo de unidades sanitarias en la zona rural del municipio de La Cruz – Nariño

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el municipio de La Cruz, Departamento de Nariño, las condiciones de saneamiento rural muestran deficiencias en cuanto a las estructuras de las unidades sanitarias de las viviendas y el modo de disposición de las aguas residuales producidas, las cuales no contaban con las suficientes estructuras para recibir un adecuado tratamiento; no existía un sistema de alcantarillado debido a la dispersión de las viviendas rurales del municipio, que, en la actualidad, utilizan el sistema de letrina o vierten directamente sus aguas residuales sobre una fuente hídrica, lo cual conllevaba a riesgos de la salud de los habitantes y a riesgos ambientales del suelo y las fuentes hídricas. De igual manera se han incrementado los reportes de enfermedades asociadas a estos y que afectan principalmente a la población infantil de la zona. Para dar solución al problema detectado, se presenta a continuación el diseño y construcción de una unidad sanitaria acondicionada con un sistema de tratamiento de las aguas residuales para 105 familias de zona rural, que cumple las condiciones marcadas en la normatividad vigente; en este caso, la RAS 2000 y su última actualización en la Resolución 0330 de 2017 en cuanto a requerimientos técnicos, procura mejorar la calidad de vida de los pobladores de la zona rural del municipio y contribuirá al mejoramiento las condiciones ambientales en la cuenca del río Mayo.

ABSTRACT: In the town of La Cruz, Nariño, the rural sanitation conditions show deficiencies in terms of the structures of the sanitary units of the houses and the way of disposing of the wastewater produced, which did not have sufficient structures to receive adequate treatment; There was no sewage system due to the dispersion of the municipality's rural dwellings, which currently use the latrine system or discharge their wastewater directly into a water source, leading to health risks for the inhabitants and environmental risks for the soil and water sources. Likewise, there have been increased reports of illnesses associated with these, which mainly affect the children in the area. In order to provide a solution to the detected problem, the design and construction of a sanitary unit equipped with a wastewater treatment system for 105 families in rural areas is presented below, which meets the conditions set out in the current regulations; in this case, the RAS 2000 and its latest update in Resolution 0330 of 2017 regarding technical requirements, seeks to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the rural area of the municipality and will contribute to the improvement of environmental conditions in the Mayo River basin.
