Análisis cualitativo del uso de prácticas estéticas y comunicativas de cuatro personajes Drag Queen en Medellín

Abstract

RESUMEN: El tema de esta investigación son las prácticas estéticas y comunicativas de cuatro artistas drag residentes en la ciudad de Medellín, preguntando por cómo estas influyen en la construcción del personaje drag queen. Se describen e identifican las coordenadas que para Mandoki (2006) son el punto de partida para analizar los intercambios sociales, por un lado, la retórica que se refiere a la intención que hay en el intercambio estético de causar un efecto sensible en el interlocutor, según la autora este será el eje sígnico y contiene cuatro elementos: léxico, acústico, somático y escópico. Por otro lado, el eje simbólico, que corresponde a la dramática la cual se define como el actuar del sujeto, y se le asigna también cuatro componentes; la cinética, proxémica, enfática y fluxión. La información para este análisis se obtuvo por medio de una metodología cualitativa y el uso de herramientas etnográficas, como la observación directa en espacios donde tuviese presencia el personaje drag, y entrevistas a profundidad con preguntas que iban en orden de las categorías mencionadas anteriormente. La sistematización y organización de los datos se realizó mediante una matriz de análisis que permitió organizar la información por categorías para dar desarrollo a los objetivos de la investigación, obtener los hallazgos y las conclusiones.

ABSTRACT: The theme of this research is the aesthetic and communicative practices of four drag artists residing in the city of Medellin, asking about how these influence the construction of the drag queen character. The coordinates that for Mandoki (2006) are the starting point to analyze social exchanges are described and identified, on the one hand, the rhetoric that refers to the intention in the aesthetic exchange to cause a sensitive effect on the interlocutor, according to the author, this will be the sign axis and it contains four elements: lexicon, acoustic, somatic and scopic. On the other hand, the symbolic axis, which corresponds to the dramatic which is defined as the acting of the subject, and is also assigned four components; kinetic, proxemic, emphatic and fluxion. The information for this analysis was obtained through a qualitative methodology and the use of ethnographic tools, such as direct observation in spaces where the drag character was present, and in-depth interviews with questions that were in order of the categories mentioned above. The systematization and organization of the data was carried out through an analysis matrix that allowed organizing the information by categories to develop the objectives of the research, obtain the findings and conclusions.
