Relación entre las actitudes de los estudiantes de 7° hacia el aprendizaje de las ciencias naturales y el PCK de su profesora

Abstract

RESUMEN: El objetivo que guió el presente trabajo de grado consistió en establecer la naturaleza de la relación entre las actitudes de los estudiantes de 7° hacia el aprendizaje de las ciencias naturales y el PCK de su profesora, investigación que se desarrolló en la Institución Educativa la Paz de Envigado. Para la ejecución, se implementó una metodología de tipo cualitativa, enmarcada en un estudio de caso, donde se utilizaron cinco técnicas para la recolección de la información, entre ellas, la observación, los diarios de campo, el registro fílmico, la entrevista y la escala de actitudes. Para el análisis del PCK de la docente se implementó la técnica de mapeo propuesta por Park y Chen (2012) y se comparó el PCK inicial (antes de desarrollar una unidad didáctica sobre flujo de energía en los ecosistemas) con el PCK final (al terminar la unidad). Este PCK final se infirió de una entrevista de autoconfrontación cruzada, con la que se promovió la reflexión de la docente al observar episodios que muestran las actitudes de sus estudiantes hacia el aprendizaje de las ciencias. De acuerdo con lo esperado, la reflexión suscitó una mayor integración y coherencia entre los componentes del PCK, aunque hay evidencias de que se mantienen ciertas rupturas entre las relaciones, en tanto la profesora observa que la actitud del estudiante es un asunto particular del mismo, sobre lo cual, ella no tiene mayor influencia. En cuanto a la naturaleza de la relación entre las actitudes de los estudiantes y el PCK de la profesora, se hallaron dos categorías emergentes que corresponden a la descripción del acuerdo pedagógico que se establece entre los sujetos implicados en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje.

ABSTRACT: The objective that guided this degree work consisted of establishing the nature of the relationship between the attitudes of 7th grade students towards learning natural sciences and the PCK of their teacher, research that was developed at the La Paz Educational Institution of Envigado. For the execution, a qualitative methodology was implemented, framed in a case study, where five techniques were used to collect information, among them, observation, field diaries, film of class, interviews and scale of attitudes. For the analysis of the teacher's PCK, the mapping technique proposed by Park and Chen (2012) was implemented and the initial PCK (before developing a didactic unit on energy flow in ecosystems) was compared with the final PCK (when finishing unit). This final PCK was inferred from a crossed self-confrontation interview, with which the teacher's reflection was promoted by observing episodes that show the attitudes of her students towards science learning. According to what was expected, the reflection provoked a greater integration and coherence between the components of the PCK, although there is evidence that certain ruptures are maintained between the relationships, while the teacher observes that the student's attitude is a particular matter of the same, over which, she has no major influence. Regarding the nature of the relationship between the students' attitudes and the teacher's PCK, two emerging categories were found that correspond to the description of the pedagogical agreement that is established between the subjects involved in the teaching-learning process.
