La investigación en arte. Cómo acceder a nuevas formas de expresión

Abstract

RESUMEN: El ingrediente fundamental del arte es la experiencia y en ella la capacidad de romper esquemas, de ir más allá de lo establecido como norma, advertir otras directrices y trascender en el tiempo. En este artículo no se pretende dogmatizar sobre la eficacia del proyecto en particular, pero sí observar una posibilidad entre muchas. Me refiero a la investigación en el arte y la dnámica en el proceso creativo, como basamento para la producción artística. La inquietud aquí más allá de la relación forma y contenido para ubicar dicha produción, en y desde la formulación del arte en términos de problema."què problema se ha planteado y cómo se elucida y resuelve en la obra?". El planteamiento se refiere, también, al fundamento ético del artista. La acción del arte consiste en imprimir una idea en una materia; ambas requieren de una cultura y disciplina para transformarse; sin ellas, el artista se reduce a ser tan solo un decorador. Al final, el artículo advierte el peligro de trabajar a partir de fórmulas preestablecidas y estimula el espíritu de aventura permanente. En el proceso de formación, si bien interesa lo que el estudiante diga hoy, interesará muchísimos más lo que pueda decir mañana.

ABSTRACT: The fundamental ingredient of art is experience and in it the capability os shattering schemes, of surpassing what has been established as a standard, noticing other directives and transcending time. This article does not pretend to dogmatize on the efficacy of one project in particular, but rather to pay attention to one possibility among many others. Reference is made to research in art and to the dynamics of the creative process, as a fundation for artistic production. The question here goes beyond the relations between form and content, putting the aforementioned production whitin the formulation of art in terms of problems: "Which problem has been proposed, how is it elucidated and resolved in the work?" The proposal also refers to the artisti´s ethical foundation. The action of art consists in stamping into matter, both calling for a culture and a discipline, in order to transform themselves; whitoit them, the artist reduces himself to being nothing more than a decorator. Finally the article points out the danger of working by setting out from pre established formulas and simulates the spirit of permanent adventure. In the educational process, even though what is said by the student today is intersting, ehat he might say tomorrow eill be much more interesting.
