Historia del Instituto Nocturno de Bachillerato de la Universidad de Antioquia 1953 - 2016

Abstract

RESUMEN: La investigación estudia el proceso de creación, consolidación y cierre del Instituto Nocturno de Bachillerato de la Universidad de Antioquia, analizando su desarrollo como dependencia universitaria y relacionándolo con el contexto educativo del departamento de Antioquia. El texto esta dividido en tres capítulos, el primero aborda los años de 1953 a 1965 en los cuales la institución consolida su funcionamiento bajo la lógicas de políticas publicas encaminadas a facilitar el acceso a la educación básica a la clase obrera. Se hace también un análisis a la conformación de la planta docente durante los primeros años de funcionamiento del bachillerato. El segundo capitulo indaga sobre el desarrollo de la institución durante el periodo de 1965 hasta 1994 haciendo énfasis en las relaciones sociales que se gestaron al interior de la dependencia y que se visibilizaron en la consolidación de periódicos estudiantiles y profesorales. En este capitulo también se estudia la creación de espacios como la biblioteca del bachillerato nocturno y el establecimiento de grupos de estudio y de actividades extracurriculares. Por ultimo el tercer capitulo aborda la crisis de la institución que inició en 1994 y que culminó con su cierre definitivo en el 2016. Se indaga en este capitulo por la movilidad a la que fue sometido el bachillerato, las tensiones con la administración central de la Universidad de Antioquia y la lucha por la permanencia que dieron los docentes y estudiantes hasta su cierre.

ABSTRACT: The research studies the process of creation, consolidation and closure of the Night High School Institute of the University of Antioquia, analyzing its development as a university dependency and relating it to the educational context of the department of Antioquia. The text is divided into three chapters, the first addresses the years from 1953 to 1965 in which the institution consolidated its operation under the logic of public policies aimed at facilitating access to basic education for the working class. An analysis is also made of the composition of the teaching staff during the first years of operation of the high school. The second chapter investigates the development of the institution during the period from 1965 to 1994, emphasizing the social relations that arose within the agency and that became visible in the consolidation of student and professorial newspapers. This chapter also studies the creation of spaces such as the night high school library and the establishment of study groups and extracurricular activities. Finally, the third chapter addresses the crisis of the institution that began in 1994 and culminated in its definitive closure in 2016. This chapter investigates the mobility to which the high school was subjected, the tensions with the central administration of the University of Antioquia and the fight for permanence that teachers and students gave until its closure.
