Relación que establecen los inmigrantes digitales entre el uso de las redes sociales y su identidad : estudio realizado con participantes de la ciudad de Medellín

Abstract

RESUMEN: Las redes sociales de internet cada día tienen un mayor peso en nuestra sociedad, han cambiado el modo en cómo interaccionamos con el mundo, el cómo construimos nuestras relaciones e incluso la forma en como construimos nuestra identidad y narramos nuestra historia al mundo. Aunque cada vez el auge de las redes es mayor, no se debe olvidar que no todos crecimos en esta era digital, por lo cual, existe un grupo de personas que en este trabajo llamaremos Inmigrantes Digitales, las cuales se han intentado adaptar al nuevo entorno y de las que tenemos poca información sobre el impacto que ha tenido las redes en su vida. Razón por la cual, el objetivo de esta investigación es describir la relación que los Inmigrantes digitales, participantes de este estudio, establecen entre el uso de las redes sociales y su identidad. La investigación realizada tuvo un enfoque cualitativo, en el cual se realizaron una serie de entrevistas y observaciones a los participantes y sus redes sociales, que permitieron correlacionar la información obtenida y generar una discusión acerca de los usos, las formas de narración y el significado que dan estás personas a las redes sociales en su vida.

ABSTRACT: The social networks have more weight in our society every day, we have changed the way we interact with the world, the way we build our relationships and the way we build our identity and narrate our history in the world. Although the boom of social networks is increasing day by day, the fact that of all us have not been grow up in the digital era should not be forgotten, because of it this research we called them as Digital Immigrants, those who have tried to adapt to the digital environment. The information about the impact of the social network in their lives is poor, reason way the objective of this research is approach to describe the relationship of Digital Immigrants, participants of this study, establish between the use of social network and their identity. This research had a qualitative approach, it have been developed a series of interviews and observations to the participants and their social networks, which allowed to obtain the information and to generate a discussion about the uses, the forms of narration and the meaning that people give to social networks in their life.
