Más allá del cielo : astronomía y meteorología en niños y niñas del grado cuarto de primaria

Abstract

RESUMEN: A pesar de que los documentos rectores de educación como los Derechos Básicos de Aprendizaje, los Estándares Básicos de Competencia y los Lineamientos Curriculares tienen algunos contenidos para desarrollar el pensamiento científico con respecto a la Astronomía y la Meteorología, en las instituciones educativas no se abarca a cabalidad dicho tema por ser considerado complejo para su enseñanza. Es por eso que surge el interés por enfocar más dichas ciencias en el aula y tener un acercamiento a cómo los estudiantes aprenden las ciencias del cielo; lo que se dio gracias a las intervenciones realizadas en el grado cuarto-tres de la Institución Educativa Javiera Londoño sede Antonia Santos, de la ciudad de Medellín-Colombia. En tal sentido, el trabajo allí realizado consistió en llevar a cabo una unidad didáctica llamada “más allá del cielo” que permitió el desarrollo de diversas actividades en las que los participantes pudieran inicialmente mostrar cuáles eran sus saberes previos frente a las nociones astronómicas y meteorológicas, para que luego, mediante intervenciones teórico-prácticas y los espacios de experimentación pudieran consolidar dichas nociones. Finalmente, este permitió mostrar un avance conceptual sobre estas ciencias, todo ello trabajado desde la metodología de la sistematización de experiencias.

ABSTRACT : Although the education ruling documents as the basic learning rights, the basic competition standards and the curriculum guidelines has some contents to develop the scientific thinking regards astronomy and meteorology, at the educational institutions this topic is not fully covered by being considered complicated for his teaching. That's why the interest on focus more those sciences at the classroom and have an approach to how the students learn the sky's sciences appeared; Wich happened thanks to the interventions made in the fourth- three grade of the educational institution Javiera Londoño Antonia Santos location in the city of Medellin-Colombia. In this sense, the work carried out there consisted of implementing a didactic unit called “beyond the sky” that allowed the development of various activities in which the participants could initially show what their previous knowledge was, regarding the astronomical and meteorological notions, so later on, through theoretical-practical interventions and experimentation spaces, they could consolidate these notions. Finally, this allowed to show a conceptual advance on these sciences, all worked from the methodology of the systematization of experiences.
