Resumen : | RESUMEN: El presente proyecto empleó la estructura del modelo de Legendre para repensar e identificar las dinámicas educativas y culturales que se presentan en los acuarios, para ello utilizó como apoyo la revisión de diferentes artículos, que dan cuenta del uso de estas instituciones como recurso educativo y cómo a través de la implementación de programas, proyectos y actividades, los acuarios consiguen educar y formar a la ciudadanía en temas relacionados con la conservación de las especies y los ecosistemas; por otra parte, se llevó a cabo un estudio de caso en el Acuario del Parque Explora con el propósito de identificar la finalidad educativa que la institución tiene con el público que lo visita, y los componentes que la conforman desde la perspectiva del modelo de Legendre, así pues, se analizan aspectos en relación a los sujetos, objetos y agentes que hacen parte de los acuarios. Lo anterior, posibilitó establecer conclusiones sobre la actualidad de los acuarios en el campo de la educación, permitiendo pensar una educación científica desde el ámbito informal, por fuera de los esquemas y parámetros tradicionales.
ABSTRACT: The present project used the structure of the Legendre model to rethink and identify the educational and cultural dynamics that are presented in aquariums, for this purpose used as support the review of different articles, which give an account of the use of these institutions as an educational resource and how, through the implementation of programmes, projects and activities, aquariums are able to educate and train the public on issues related to the conservation of species and ecosystems; on the other hand, a case study was carried out in the Aquarium of Parque Explora with the purpose of identifying the educational purpose that the institution has with the public who visits it, and the components that form it from the perspective of the Legendre model, thus, aspects are analyzed in relation to the subjects, objects and agents that are part of the aquariums. This made it possible to draw conclusions about the topicality of aquariums in the field of education, allowing us to think about a scientific education from the informal environment, outside the traditional schemes and parameters.
