Resumen : This investigative article condenses the result of practice made during 2015-2016-1 year in the Educational Institution Headquarters Héctor Abad Gómez Dario Cardona Londoño, Basic Processes in grades primary and second, by two students in training degree in Special Education, Faculty of Education, University of Antioquia, attached to the research group Diverser in the line of Violence and School Cultures. Throughout the article the problem statement very specifically which arises from the need to characterize the practices of punishment / penalty within some of the families of students of the institution, due to the impact that will meet these the behavior of students within the school and school performance. For this reason he posed the following research question: ¿What are the practices of punishment with parents / caregivers of students of School ESCUELA,FAMILIA Y CASTIGO Arroyave Londoño Vanessa, Baena Gómez Estefanía 2 Héctor Abad Gómez Headquarters Dario Cardona Londoño? It also contains a justification arguments for their approach, then a state of the art or history containing research and news realize how some families conceive punishment; in the theoretical framework three major concepts such as punishment, school and family and finally the analysis and conclusions that show the process carried out under a qualitative method in relation to an ethnographic approach are addressed.
