De institutores a soldados de la reconstrucción nacional. El caso de Antioquia, Colombia (1903-1930)

Abstract

RESUMEN: Al iniciar el siglo XX en Colombia se operaba una reforma instruccionista que pretendía transformar socialmente la Nación. Así, pues, la hora de la educación para ayudar a la gran empresa de reconstrucción nacional colombiana había llegado, y tal noticia se estaba anunciando con los redobles de la reforma oficial de 1903. Y, en tal sentido, los maestros estaban siendo llamados con carácter de urgencia por la Dirección de Instrucción Pública para ocupar un lugar a la vanguardia de este ejército salvador.

ABSTARCT: At the beginning of the 20th Century, in Colombia an instructionist reform was in operation, aiming to make a social transformation of the country. Then, the time of education to help the great national reconstruction endeavor had arrived and such news was being announced with the drumbeats of the official reform of 1903. In such sense, teachers were being urgently called by Dirección de Instrucción Pública to occupy a place in the frontline of this army of saviors.
