Narrativas del cuerpo performativo Drag en espacios de formación no convencionales en la ciudad de Medellín

Abstract

RESUMEN: El trabajo de grado explora las relaciones entre los cuerpos Drag, el performance y los espacios de formación no convencionales en Medellín, mediante narrativas que ofrecen una posibilidad para repensar y preguntarse por la creación de otras maneras de leer el mundo aportando a la construcción de la identidad, especialmente en términos de género y sexualidad.

Para trazar estas relaciones, la Fundación Casa de las Estrategias nos abrió las puertas dándonos la posibilidad de crear Cuerpos trepados; un parche creativo en el que, junto a los jóvenes del territorio, se realizaron talleres y actividades que pusieron a conversar los lenguajes de lo que significa resistir a través de este arte. La metodología elegida para este trabajo de grado es la Investigación-Creación y la narrativa fue el método elegido para analizar la experiencia vivida. Además, como maestros en formación en Literatura y Lengua Castellana, se participó en diversas actividades relacionadas con el Drag, ampliando su comprensión del tema.

Se destaca que hay otros espacios habitados por la comunidad Drag como fundaciones, bares, discotecas, teatros, hoteles, bibliotecas y calles, en los que se irrumpe y se abraza la libre expresión como movilizador de espacios seguros que posibilitan otras lecturas de lo formativo, considerando sus implicaciones políticas y sociales, su historia y su influencia en la construcción de identidades de género, la subjetividad y la formación. En última instancia, este trabajo contribuye al entendimiento del Drag y su compleja relación con la identidad, el género y la sociedad contemporánea ofreciendo un espacio para la exploración.

ABSTRACT: The present work explores the relationships between "Drag" bodies, performance, and unconventional educational spaces in the city of Medellin through narratives that offer a possibility to rethink and wonder about the creation of other ways of reading the world, thus contributing to the construction of identity, particularly in terms of gender and sexuality.

To trace these relationships, the "Casa de las Estrategias" Foundation opened the doors, giving us the possibility to create "Cuerpos Trepados" (Dragged bodies): a creative patch in which, together with the young people of the territory, workshops, and activities were held that brought together the languages of what it means to resist through this art. The methodology chosen for this degree work is Research-Creation, and the narrative was the technique chosen to analyze the lived experience. In addition, as teachers in Literature and Spanish Language education, we participated in various activities related to Drag, expanding our understanding of the subject.

It should be noted that there are other spaces inhabited by the Drag community such as: foundations, bars, clubs, theatres, hotels, libraries, and streets that are disrupted and in which free expression is embraced as a mobilizer of safe spaces that enable other readings of the educational, considering its political and social implications, its history and its influence on the construction of gender identities, subjectivity and education. This work contributes to the understanding of Drag and its complex relationship with identity, gender, and contemporary society by offering a space for exploration.
